‘Botanica’

‘Botanica’ was a collaboration between BASNZ and Welcome Swallow Gallery in Hamilton, it’s aim to raise both awareness of botanical art and funds for children’s charities in the Waikato area.

The artists were -

Lesley Alexander, Claire Broughton, Lisa Dickson, Jennifer Duval-Smith, Vicki Jones, Annette Judd, Janet Marshall, Gillian Receveur and Birgit Rhode exhibited 30 artworks showing a full range of traditional through to contemporary botanical art.

The opening night, July 6th, was sponsored and supported by Montana Catering, who provided canapes. String duet, Celia and Martin Griffiths provided music throughout the evening adding to the viewer experience.

Special guest speaker was celebrity gardener, Lynda Hallinan.
