World Day of Botanical Art - May 18th

Join us for a weekend celebrating Botanical Art around the world!

Come to Auckland Botanic Gardens and immerse yourself for two days in all things botanical art.

Over 45 artworks by the best botanical artists in New Zealand are on display in the gallery now until 29 June.

Come and see over 1,000 botanical artworks from the other 29 countries taking part on a big screen!

Watch botanical artists demonstrating watercolour, pen and ink, working on vellum, nature journaling and more. Artists demonstrations will take place in the library foyer both days - 10am - 4pm on Saturday and 10am - 1.30pm on Sunday.

Artists yet to be confirmed, so please keep checking back!

Or catch up with an artist drawing in the gardens - why not bring your sketchbooks and have a go too!

SUNDAY 18 MAY

WORLDWIDE DAY OF BOTANICAL ART

9am - we start the day with a Powhiri. If you wish to come along, be outside the visitor centre at 8.45am

2pm - ‘Te korowai o Papatuanuku – the Cloak of the Earth Mother’, a talk by Dr Nick Ruskruge.
