Jennifer Duval-Smith - July’s ‘Botanical Artist of the Month’

Jennifer was the first artist to be featured in the Kings Seeds catalogue ‘Botanical Artist of the Month’ section . It reads:

‘Jennifer is a contempory botanical artist and nature educator in Mount Eden Auckland. As both gardener and painter, she is driven by an obsession wiaht the natural worls and delights in the freshness and luminosity of the watercolour medium on beautiful paper. Her object is to connect the viewer to the beauty to be found in close observation of a plant subject, challenging herself to capture the spirit of each plant with both accuracy and spontaneity and to reveal a previously unconsidered perspective.

Jennifer’s watercolour work, ‘Seven Sisters’ was selected for Botanical Art Worldwide in 2018’

A print of her gorgeous watercolour will be part of a Kings seeds give-away later in the year.
