Lisa Dickson - August’s ‘Botanical Artist of the Month’

Lisa Dickson is the artist featured in the Kings Seeds August newsletter -

‘Lisa is a West Coast based artist, pulling on aspects of botanical art to create contemporary flower portraits that are often larger than life. Botanical painting since 2017, Lisa is inspired by large, vibrant botanical subjects, often front-on and oversized, encouraging viewers to engage with the ‘face’ of the subject. Lisa has exhibited around the country, both with BASNZ and in solo exhibitions. Her ‘Clematis Ville de Lyon’ recently travelled to her home of the Waikato for Botanica at Welcome Swallow Gallery.

A print of her gorgeous watercolour, ‘Clematis Ville de Lyon’, will be part of a give-away by Kings Seeds later in the year.
