Claire is the September's featured botanical artist for the Kings Seeds newsletter.
‘Claire has always loved playing with colour, for as long as she can remember she always had colouring books
and pencils to play with. Claire admired watercolours and was always fascinated with the subtle and
washy effects, but it was only at age 40 that she finally picked up a brush and started to dabble with watercolour herself.
After trying a watercolour sketch of some pansies in her garden, Claire’s fascination with watercolour began.
Mother nature is her inspiration from which she will never tire and although botanicals are her specialty
Claire also loves to paint animals, birds and babies.’
A print of her gorgeous watercolour, ‘Kowhai’, will be part of a give-away by Kings Seeds later in the year.
